My 2015 Planner Setup

I have been in my 2015 setup for almost a month and archived my 2014 planner book yesterday. In 2014, I have tried many different sizes from pocket, A6, Personal to Midori Standard. It's fun to explore different sizes and see if they fit. But when I have to archive them, it became a kind of pain because they are uneven. So I decided I have to stick to one size in 2015 which is personal size.  Other than the size, there are several changes of my 2015 planning too. First, I bought a Van der Speck Touch Me Standard in Jan with 30mm rings. It has soft and robust leather and functional...

Travel with my Filofax — Pimp my Filofax Blogger Challenge

VOTE NOW I received an email from Nike from Filofax UK on July 8 and asked me if I would like to take part in the Monthly Blogger Challenge of Filofax through which Filofax would like to see what makes my Filofax Organizer stand out from the rest. Nobody would want to say no to this interesting challenge. I replied Nike immediately that I would love to be involved and if I can use my Life Mapping Inserts?  Surprisingly and gratefully that Nike replied that he is happy for me to use my own inserts. The Filofax that I received to pimp is the Original Pillarbox Red personal size....

Doodle with Month-On-1-Page

I love paper planners and like to watch and chat with people who have the same passion. I admire how Tracy crazysuburbanmom filled her monthly calendar cell with pretty water colors (click here). Because I still need my  full month calendar for planning, I designed a month-on-one-page to do daily cell drawing.   The page is undated an plain so you can decorate it by yourself. Life Mapping Inserts that work for both Filofax pocket size binder and MTN passport size

I love pocket size binders and MTN passport size because they are handy, cozy and cute. When I design inserts for pocket size binders, I realized that this size is actually very close to Midori passport notebooks. After several rounds of testing. I've designed some inserts that can be used in Filofax Pocket size Binders as well as MTN Passport Notebook.  In this post, I would like to share with you the pocket size day-on-2-page with LM Clock. The PDFs have been laid in bookbinding order which if you cut & separate the pages, they can be used in Filofax Pocket; if you cut &...

Week 5 – Planning & Searching – Life Mapping Weekly Chit Chat

In Week 5 of 2014, I've started planning my Feb ~ Here is the pre-planed Feb Monthly Calendar~ You may noticed that I was no longer using MarkIt Dots but draw Squares to mark my events. This is because, Draw squares are more easier and time saving than locate the MarkIt Dots with the color I want, peel it off and stick it on my calendar; I worried that the MarkIt dots will drop after years. Who knows. Another thing I would like to feature in this week's Chit Chat is how I make my records searchable. I did quite a lot of testings and found that the method below suits me quite...

Week 4 – How to concentrate on To-Dos – Life Mapping Weekly Chit Chat

It is good if you are able to handle everything with only one planner. At least I love to do so. Life Mapping Inserts V02.1 is designed for this so you will have enough room and space to plan/track/record your work and personal life all together. Then the question appears, will that be too overwhelming and how to concentrate on what we need to do every week/everyday? Here are the simple steps to help you out ~ Write down your To-Do list of the week on Weekly one-fold page as showed below when you plan your week; Start with "Must to be Done List" (let's call this List 1). Write down List 1 on your...

Week 3– Color Coding & Index – Life Mapping Weekly Chit Chat

My January Calendar is now very crowded . I plan, I record, but these do not mean I wanna everything to be searchable in future. Normally I would like only my important events, kids' milestones, book/movie reviews to be searchable.  So I use color coding & Index Page Marker , with which I am able to write wherever I like on the inserts. Then I will put my color code beside those special notes/to-dos/journal, and fill that color code in the side bar. Purple in my color code stands for my hobbies. I watched "Awakening" on 17 Jan. To make this searchable, I draw a purple icon...

Week 2– Plan forward – Life Mapping Weekly Chit Chat

Today I would like to chat about planning and how I plan forward. Here is my Week 2 To plan forward, I like to use Round Label Stickers and Washi Tapes with solid color. The smallest Round Label Sticker I can find is Φ 8mm. This size is still too big to me so I cut them into 4 quarters and use. Washi tapes are used to highlight important projects and events. Step 1- plan my month forward. No drawings, photos and/or decorating stickers in this stage so my projects, appointments, events can stand out; Step 2 - plan my week by filling in more details; Step 3 - When I have...

Week 1– Life Mapping Weekly Chit Chat

Time files. The 1st week of 2014 was the time to farewell to December 2013 and welcome 2014! December was a very interesting  month to me and my family. Lots of family activities, fun and surprises. January on the other hand will be a busy month to us. My elder son was promoted into Primary 3 which will bring him more home-works and more responsibilities. I plan to exercise more to keep myself healthy and we are preparing to send our younger boy to childcare by the end of the month. Keep everything in order and make them trackable are very important to me.   Here are some...
