Week 5 – Planning & Searching – Life Mapping Weekly Chit Chat

In Week 5 of 2014, I've started planning my Feb ~ Here is the pre-planed Feb Monthly Calendar~ You may noticed that I was no longer using MarkIt Dots but draw Squares to mark my events. This is because, Draw squares are more easier and time saving than locate the MarkIt Dots with the color I want, peel it off and stick it on my calendar; I worried that the MarkIt dots will drop after years. Who knows. Another thing I would like to feature in this week's Chit Chat is how I make my records searchable. I did quite a lot of testings and found that the method below suits me quite...

Week 3– Color Coding & Index – Life Mapping Weekly Chit Chat

My January Calendar is now very crowded . I plan, I record, but these do not mean I wanna everything to be searchable in future. Normally I would like only my important events, kids' milestones, book/movie reviews to be searchable.  So I use color coding & Index Page Marker , with which I am able to write wherever I like on the inserts. Then I will put my color code beside those special notes/to-dos/journal, and fill that color code in the side bar. Purple in my color code stands for my hobbies. I watched "Awakening" on 17 Jan. To make this searchable, I draw a purple icon...

Week 52– Life Mapping Weekly Chit Chat

In this holiday season, my Week 52 was so busy and happy. Lots of family activities. I was busy with my projects on Christmas Eve and I didn't even have time to complete my journal for that day before Christmas. My boy brightened my day with his Lego creations - the Peashooter from one of my favorite game "Plants vs Zombies" and a Lady Bug. I love his works so much. I use iPhone to take photos and record those lovely moments. I like to draw. I use PILOT Color ENO mechanic pencil (0.7) to do coloring. Sometime I will stick the movie tickets in my daily journal...

A Filofax Journey with Singapore Rare Butterflies – Part II

In part one, I've went through the 6 Singapore Rare Butterflies that I've painted and featured in my Special Edition Theme for 2014. In this post, I would like to bring you through the pages. This series is one of my favorite, not only because I like butterflies but also I have put in a lot of efforts to study these butterflies, their host plants and paint. This set currently includes 6 months (Jan to Jun 2014) which features 6 Singapore rare butterflies and their host plants. I am still painting the other 6 rare butterflies and their host plants for July to Dec 2014. The full set of this...

Love My Finsbury and Set Her Up Horizontally

It's easier to fall in love with new things than concentrate on what we already have. I have a Finsbury Personal. She is pink, she is soft, she is a real leather organizer. I have her for years. She is an old friend of mine. And these days, when I am trying to tighten our relationship, she can still surprise me with her "inner beauty" ~ Have a look at the photo below, I never realize this before! The color to match my Pink Lady is Blue. I took out all her old inserts, cleared her pockets, and cleaned her. Then I set up her horizontally with my Pink Lady Theme Life Mapping...

How I plan family meals with LM’s Wo2P(b)

I have created 2 kinds of  "Week on 2 pages" for my Life Mapping System. I use my Wo2p(a) as my WEEKLY PHOTO ALBUM (check out here). And use Wo2p(b) as WEEKLY MENU PLANNER. (You can click on the images to enlarge.) Wo2p(b) is vertical style Week on 2 Pages. There are 4 days (Mon to Thu) on left page, and 3 days (Fri to Sun) + an empty column for notes on right page. I've created a 24 hours guide on the 2 pages too. Base on my color coding system, I wrote 3 meals in "Green" and list out what to prepare. Like this~ B for Breakfast, L for Lunch, D for Dinner. I rate my meals...
